Hardware

  • USB headset microphone

Microphone
All students taking online classes in LMS must have a microphone for live sessions. USB (Universal Serial Bus) headset microphones are highly recommended. Technical support is only provided to students who utilize USB headset microphones. Inexpensive, high-quality, USB headset microphones are manufactured by Logitech, among others, and are available at many online and physical retailers.
Network and Firewalls
You must have consistent Internet access, including the ability to receive streaming media and run video chat programs, including Zoom. Corporate firewalls frequently interfere with streaming media and video communication programs, and can prevent you from participating in online programs. It is your responsibility to work with your information systems group to work through issues involving firewalls. Please see this Frequently Asked Question about the specific ports which need to be open on your network.

Access to Programmes

Students enrolled in our online MDP/Certificate programmes with LMS sites have access to those sites for Six months after completion of the programmes. After that point, access to that program is terminated.

Scheduled Maintenance and Downtime

While the LMS team strives to have all program sites available all the time, notification of planned maintenance or downtime periods will be informed through emails and posted to notice board.

Privacy Notice

Your access to and activity within LMS is tracked for educational purposes — much like taking "class attendance" at an on-site course. This information is accessible only by faculty and administrators. Cookies and JavaScript, both of which are used for tracking purposes, must be enabled in your Web browser. LMS team may also access programmes to post content, assist faculty, students, and resolve technical problems.
